Our time with Salisha

Here we are at Waikiki beach out taking a stroll. We met Salisha in Grenada. She was baptized in the last year that we were there. In fact, she was the only Young Woman in the branch, and she came every week with out fail. Our good friends helped Salisha get into BYU Hawaii one year ago. We LOVED every minute we had to talk with Salisha about her Grenada life, how school is going, and most of all, we talked all about hot boys, dating, and getting married. That is the main thing a single 19 year old girl wants to talk about. Salisha has such an amazing story to tell. One day I have no doubt that she will write a book. She is an English major at BYU and doing very well. She will also be an exceptional mother. She adored Tyler and always wanted to push the stroller so that people would think he was her baby. (giggle giggle) I love you Salisha and can't wait for when we can hang out again someday. This little guy could not have been a better trooper. My mom told me that when she took me to Hawaii when I was 1 years old, I was a complete disaster. Good thing Tyler isn't like his mom. He is the most easy going baby I know.
Here is Salisha modeling her cute red dress. Dave had two full days in interviews while I had a blast with Salisha. We swam at some sweet pools, shopped, walked up and down the boardwalk, layed out at the beach, and lusted over our Godiva chocolate cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory. I got to show Salisha quite a few "firsts" such as, her first cheese quesadilla and her first time sleeping in a hotel.
If you know any guys in Hawaii between the ages of 19-24 who are available, let us know.
Oh, and they must have a big strong chest. That is a must! (Salisha, don't kill me please!)
I had to take a picture of our car because it makes me laugh just looking at it. If Dave and I were to ever get a nice new car, it WOULD NOT be this! It is so NOT our personality. But I will say we had a lot of fun in it....that sounds bad.......I didn't mean anything by that.
This picture is on a beach up around the North Shore. We were checking out the pro surfers. The winds were super strong and we saw some killer waves.
Guess what, the temple is closed for 18 months while they remodel the whole inside. We were bummed we couldn't go, but the visitor's center was still great.
Check out my hot husband getting ready for some snorkeling in Hanauma Bay. He got in the water first. It was pretty cold at 7:00 a.m. but he saw an eel and a sea turtle on top of all the beautiful fish. I think one of my top 5 favorite animals is the sea turtle.
They are so awesome!
