Kindergarten!

What a week we had last week. I took Josh to Kindergarten and he looked so excited to be there that I didn't give it a second thought. I thought, "Is something wrong with me? I didn't even get emotional or shed a tear watching my oldest child go to Kindergarten." Oh....the tears came...later. When I picked Josh up, I knew that something was obviously wrong. This is the best picture I could get because there was no way I was going to get a smile out of him. I will make a long story short and just say that Dave and I had that gut feeling all week that this school was not going to work. We could hardly sleep. The other two days, he came running out of the room sobbing when I came to pick him up. This is a kid that went to preschool 5 days a week and never said one negative thing about school. I could feel just by walking down the halls and into the main office that the environment was not what we wanted for our son. (Sorry, I can't give details. I will probably say something that I will regret.) GOOD NEWS! We found the most wonderful school that was like a night and day difference. He came out today with the biggest smile on his face and can't wait to go back. Josh is the sweetest and most sensitive little guy. Dave and I feel so grateful to have found this school. We love you Josh!

So happy you found a better school for Josh. What an awful feeling picking your child up from school and seeing him crying and not happy. So happy you made some changes!

That's so sad that the first school was so wrong for Josh, that must've been really hard on you and Dave. Thank goodness you found a better one where he'll be happier!

I love the climbing tree picture. When you took that picture I wasso worried that he would fall--and look--he lived to show it. We love seeing pictures of our kids and happy that everyone is happy. Love, Mom

I'm so glad you switched things up for him! How sad if you kept him there waiting for it to get better. He's so cute and I'm glad you found the perfect place for him, that's huge! Can't wait to hear from you and hang out soon.
